Poundy and Thumpy...

In the words of Junie B. Jones... my heart is poundy and thumpy. First... if you don't know who Junie B. Jones is, then you probably don't have a daughter in the 1st through 5th grade, or if you do know who she is... but didn't realize that those were her words, then that means that you probably are a little pickier than I am about what your child reads. Don't gasp... She really is hilarious!!! We talk about what a smarty-pants she is... but we still laugh til our bellies are sore.

But anyway, my heart it poundy and thumpy. My sweet little Bible study group is leaving tomorrow around lunchtime to go to Boone, NC for the Beth Moore Simulcast. I cannot wait. I have been to several of her Living Proof events... but no one else in my group has ever been. For that matter... no one else in my group had ever done a Beth Moore study before coming to this little group. So... how awesome is this??? We are going to have the best time.

I have been praying that God will prepare each of our hearts for exactly what He is going to bring us through her. Of course I have been praying for her as she prepares too.

So... please pray for us while we are gone. AND... try not to be too jealous. If we could have... we would have taken you too.

My church is hosting a simulcast too. I have seen Beth once in person and have done several of her studies.
It's exciting. Do you know the place where she is live is Louisville, KY and it is only 60 minutes from here. However, the church of 10,000+ was sold out several months ago. A friend from another church had an extra ticket but I told her I was already obligated to my church since my ladies group is the one hosting it. So, I have to help with "running" the show: registration, refreshments, etc.
Praying for many to be blessed throughout the country with SO many simulcasts taking place.

My heart is all poundy and thumpy for you!
I can't wait to hear all about it.

And my youngest son Daniel loved Junie B. Jones.......We especially loved her "huffy breaths.";)

He used to read to himself in bed at night before going to sleep, and so many nights he would come back into our bedroom laughing so hard he could barely speak to tell us something funny she had said.:)

What a blessing!:)

Have fun!
God Bless,
Amy:)

Girl...I am right there with ya. I've been doing the online study this summer with Beth (Living Beyond yourself) and I have been under so much attack by satan because of it. Our church is hosting and I am sooooo looking forward to it tonight...I really NEED this time and I am watching for all the stumbling blocks that satan is throwing my way. He already put my dad in the hospital, my son is teething (AGAIN!!!), my hubby's been a little hard to please...so I figure Beth must have some kind of message for me tonight. I sure pray that Jesus blocks his attempts and allows me to attend. Looking forward to sharing and hearing what blessings come from it. It's kind of neat...all my "virtual" friens will be "virtually" worshiping together through this "simulcast". Boy isn't technology somethin' else?

Have fun and God bless

I'm not jealous. I'm thrilled for your opportunity! You will be marked forever by your time with the girls and with Beth. Please give us all an update when you return.

Can't help it; little bit of envy goin' on here. My sister is in KY live with her this weekend. More than a little envious of her too. Really just kidding. I hope to see Beth when she comes to Deleware in October for the last of her New England Nights.

I have no doubt (though I'll still pray) that you all will be abundantly blessed. May God speak very specifically to each one of you.

Can't wait to hear about it.

My first time to a Simulcast, and I won't hesitate to go when there is an opportunity again!
